About this event

All village members and volunteers are invited to an informative one-hour workshop designed to help build understanding, confidence, and compassion around what it means to live with dementia. This session setup by Palisades Villages will help you better understand what dementia is, how it affects memory and behavior, and how to help reduce the social isolation and stigma that is often experienced by people living with dementia.

This session will be led by Nephelie Andonyadis, a gerontologist, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified TimeSlips Trainer, and experienced leader of creative aging programs across DC. She is also President of the Board at Palisades Village. Whether you are a family member, volunteer, caregiver, or simply interested in learning more, this training offers practical tools and insight for creating more meaningful connections.
