The Arts Group invites all BMAV members and friends to visit the Smithsonian American Art Museum to see the latest work of internationally acclaimed artist Tiffany Chung (b. 1969, Ðà N?ng, Viet Nam). "Tiffany Chung: Vietnam, Past Is Prologue, probes the legacies of the Vietnam War and its aftermath through maps, videos, and paintings that highlight the voices and stories of former Vietnamese refugees, including accounts that have largely been left out of official histories, and begins to tell an alternative story of the war’s ideology and effects. After viewing the exhibit, we will have a light dinner followed by a lecture by the artist at 6 p.m.
