Paul Burden, Founder of Our Voice, a partner of The Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, will demonstrate how useful Amazon Echo and other voice recognition devices can be for persons with disabilities or seniors aging in place. With Alexa, there’s no complicated software to learn, no keyboard, no need to worry about updates either.  Using voice only, seniors can:

Get News and Information
Use Alexa as a telephone; place and receive phone calls
Have books read to them
Do their shopping
Listen to their favorite music and radio stations.
Send and receive text messages
Do Internet Searches
Alert Family & Friends if in distress
And, much more…

We will also discuss assessing security systems like Nest. Co-sponsored with Connie Morella Library.  Free and open to the public.
