BMAV is proud to offer a free workshop by member Chris Palmer on how to improve your life - Design Your Life for Success.
Chris has taught this class every semester for two years at American University to packed classes. Member Jane Boynton took it and "found the course extremely helpful to me in thinking about and evaluating my mission and goals at this stage of my life. Chris is an energetic professor who really connected with all of his students and enthusiastically engaged them in planning for effective goals for their lives."
It consists of three weekly 90-minute sessions on Tuesday evenings, April 16, 23 and 30 at 7 pm. If you are interested in joining. please contact us to register and read the syllabus here. Attendance at all three classes is encouraged.
Chris says, "I created this workshop because I believe we all need to spend more time reflecting on how to find more purpose, meaning, and passion in our lives, and focusing on what really matters to us." Chris is a husband, father, grandfather, author, film producer, speaker, and former professor.
The workshop explores the goals, strategies, and tactics necessary to live a successful, fulfilled, and productive life. We reflect on our lives, discuss what really matters to us, consider how we find purpose and meaning in our lives, explore life goals, think about our values, produce personal mission statements, examine how to take better care of ourselves, and learn effective time management skills. The idea is to actively design our lives rather than simply drift forward reacting to what happens to us. It is healthy to look at the person we have become and ask if this is really who we want to be. We want to behave in ways that are true to our most honorable, generous, and best selves.
This program is co-sponsored by Connie Morella Library and is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
