This 3D movie, America’s Musical Journey, celebrates the unique diversity of cultures and the creative risk-taking that characterize America, as told through the story of its music. The film follows Grammy-Award® nominated singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc as he traces Louis Armstrong’s footsteps through the colorful locales and cultures where America’s music was born.

BMAV member Chris Palmer is president of the MacGillivray Freeman Films Educational Foundation, which coproduced the film. After the 40 minute movie, we’ll gather to discuss the film with Chris over drinks, where he'll talk about his experiences in the production of this and other IMAX films.

The movie showing is at 12:45.  Meet in the lobby of the Warner Bros. Theater in the National Museum of American History at 12:30 p.m. to purchase $8 tickets.  Please RSVP and the office will connect members who wish to share transportation to and from the museum.

Friends and potential members of BMAV welcome.
