How to write a legacy letter (also known as an ethical will).

This is often a neglected step in planning the end of our lives. Our will and estate planning documents pass on our tangible wealth, but they say little about the values, relationships, stories, traditions, and life experiences built up over a lifetime. A legacy letter is a personal message or letter created for your loved ones that transmits intangible wealth to succeeding generations. It communicates feelings, intentions, values, perspectives, and thoughts about life too important to be left unsaid.

Chris Palmer will show you how to write a legacy letter. Click here for a handout Chris has prepared for this event. These three documents will also be reviewed in the session: 12  3
