Please join us for a unique and timely Kemp Mill Village
(KMV)-sponsored virtual discussion about the coronavirus
and the Covid-19 vaccines.
The coronavirus and ways to defeat it have been headlining
the news for over a year. The virus’s impact on our lives has
been stressful and difficult for each of us, our families and
friends, the economy, and of course our health and sense of
well being. In addition, pandemic information is sometimes
confusing and getting clear answers to questions is often
challenging.
This informative event will present recent data about this
serious virus and the new treatments available to combat
Covid-19.
Our event presenter is Dr. Lynne Diggs, a
board-certified internist with over 30+ years of
medical practice in the Silver Spring area focused
on seniors’ healthcare and wellness. Dr. Diggs is the
Director of the Riderwood Medical Center, which serves the
2,500+ residents of Riderwood, a senior living community
here in Silver Spring. Among the topics Dr. Diggs will
address:
• What is the coronavirus, how is it spread, and why is it so
hard to contain? What each of us can do to stop the spread.
• What are the Covid-19 vaccines and how do they work in
the body? • Who should get the vaccine, why it’s important
and what does ‘Emergency Use Approval’ mean?
• How the shot(s) are given and possible side effects.
• What we know about the vaccines’ short- and long-term
efficacy. • What each of us can do to stop the spread of
Covid-19.

The session will include an opportunity to ask questions
pertaining to the Covid-19 virus and vaccines and obtain
more information. Register now to join this timely event!
