This session will review the causes and policies underlying the racial wealth gap, including discrimination in the labor market, the disparity in education and skills, high incarceration rates, and low net worth and assets.

Speaker: Pamela Queen, Delegate to the Maryland General Assembly representing the 14th Legislative District in northern Montgomery County. Chair of the Banking, Consumer Protection, and Commercial Law sub-committees; Co-Chair of the Study Group on Economic Stability. Teaches Accounting and Finance at Morgan State University.
