What is this?
If you have ever spent a summer at camp or wondered why those that spent summers at camp have such fond memories you will enjoy this author talk by New York Times bestselling author, Iris Krasnow. In her most recent book "Camp Girls" Iris reflects with humor and heart on her summer camp experiences and the lessons she and her fellow campers learned there and have stayed with them throughout their lives.
Feel free to invite a friend from your days as a camper or a local friend that also loved going to summer camp.
Iris is also the author of "Surrendering to Motherhood," the New York Times bestseller "Surrendering to Marriage," "Surrendering to Yourself," "I Am My Mother's Daughter," "The Secret Lives of Wives," "Sex After...Women Share How Intimacy Changes As Life Changes." In her several years at UPI, Krasnow specialized in celebrity profiles, including Yoko Ono, Billy Graham, Ted Kennedy, Norman Mailer and Queen Noor of Jordan. She is a professor emerita teaching writing and gender studies courses at American University.
