What is this?
The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed everyone, especially older adults, to alter routines and behaviors and to try new technologies to stay connected. What will be the new normal for older adults and what changes will likely be adopted after the Covid-19 ceases to interrupt our lives? Join Catherine McCallum, MSW, LCSW-C, LICSW,to learn what technology is here to stay and how to make it work for you. McCallum has over 20 years of experience working with adults and aging services. She spent 7 years as Executive Director of CC@H and grew a grass roots nonprofit into a model aging in place village. Prior to CC@H, she worked for many years in the employee assistance field (EAP) within the Federal government and is credited with developing the first Eldercare Fair for US HHS Headquarter employees. Her other experience includes pro bono consulting for the development office of Iona Senior Services and consulting businesses and organizations serving seniors. In addition to her consulting work, she is a practicing psychotherapist for older adults and care planning consultant for a limited number of private practice clients. She is a member of the ProAging Network, Greater Washington Society of Clinical Social Work and National Association of Social Workers.
