What is this?
Delve deeper into investment topics in this round-table discussion. Also, learn about the SEC's Regulation Best Interest and how it affects your relationship with investment professionals.
Make sure to bring your investing questions for this interactive, conversational session with a seasoned educator and expert from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This is a free event. No registration required.
Presenter: Suzanne McGovern, Senior Advisor, SEC Office of Investor Education and Advocacy
Location: Lower Level Meeting Room
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently voted to adopt a package of rulemakings and interpretations designed to enhance the quality and transparency of retail investors’ relationships with investment advisers and broker-dealers, bringing the legal requirements and mandated disclosures in line with reasonable investor expectations, while preserving access (in terms of choice and cost) to a variety of investment services and products.
This month's presenter is Phil Weiss, CFA, CPA, the Principal of Apprise Wealth Management, an investment adviser service. He will discuss how behavioral biases can affect investor decisions and what you can do to help limit their potential impact. Phil will draw from his extensive experience with investment management and financial education.
