The Newseum still has many great exhibits… but only through December!

The Newseum, dedicated to the First Amendment and free press, is closing its doors at the end of the year. Take this opportunity to see the fabulous use of technology and journalistic creativity that brings this academic-sounding mission to life. Among 12 or more permanent and revolving exhibits are the 9/11 gallery, the American modern gay rights movement, the Berlin Wall Gallery and the power of news and informationto help topple an oppressive society, the first African American to win a Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning, and last but not least, the most comprehensive collection of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs ever assembled, with photographer interviews.

The first six RSVPs to Sylvia Winik will receive free tickets. Others may purchase online at newseum.org.

Meet at the top of the escalators, Bethesda Metro Station, at 9:15am.  Open to members and friends.
