What is this?
Maryland State Society Senior Historian Patricia Maclay will be giving us a gallery tour of DAR's new exhibit "A Piece of her Mind," which tells the story of the science and politics found in quilts from the 1800's. We will also see period rooms which tell the story of the development of the American home from 1690 to how we know it today, plus the roles women played in the changes. Total tour time is 110 minutes, over three floors (elevator available) and some walking and standing. Attendees will meet at 9:15 am to take shared transportation. Free.
