Advantages of Membership
Membership is available to those who are 50 and older and provides a wide range of social activities and events. Are we missing something? We welcome suggestions of new groups that support your interests.
And if you need some extra help with getting around or household tasks, our trained and vetted neighborhood volunteers can help.
Two Types of Memberships
- Social members may participate in the full range of BMAV activities and may live outside our service area. Our activities include almost 20 shared interest groups and village-sponsored events. With over 400 events a year, there's always something going on at BMAV.
- Full Service members, in addition to the full range of BMAV activities, also get access to volunteer services. Services include rides, deliveries, light home repair, technology assistance, absent owner services, medical notetaking, friendly visits or calls, and non-medical respite care for primary caregivers. Full Service members must live within our geographic boundaries.
All members receive our bimonthly newsletter and a weekly email that provides information on upcoming events and activities. New members are paired with a member of our welcoming team to help introduce them to the village. As an added benefit, members get discounts from selected aging care managers, with Full Service members receiving an hour of paid services by the village.
