About this event

Members, volunteers, and friends and neighbors, join us for drinks and socializing at the Battery Park Clubhouse, followed by a discussion with David Seide on ethics and whistleblowing.

David Z. Seide is Senior Counsel at the Government Accountability Project (GAP), the pre-eminent non-profit and public interest law firm and advocacy organization representing whistleblowers. He is lead counsel in Wadikuswara v. Lake, the ongoing federal court litigation to stop the destruction of the Voice of America.

David has represented numerous whistleblowers in federal and state courts, before Congress, the Merit Systems Protection Board, the U.S. Office of Special Counsel and Offices of Inspector General. He currently represents FEMA and EPA employees who have been targeted by their agencies after signing public letters of dissent, and U.S. Secret Service whistleblowers who have experienced retaliation after disclosing gross mismanagement in connection with the attempted assassination of President Trump.

Prior to joining Government Accountability Project, he was Special Counsel to Senator Jeff Merkley. He was also previously on the staff of two federal Office of Inspector Generals and led multiple high-profile investigations.
