About this event
A recent NY Times article Retirees, Get Ready to Need Long-Term Care. Here’s What to Know, tells us that demand and costs for care are rising at the same time that a labor shortage within the care industry is growing worse. The article also points out that the oldest of the baby boomers, those born in 1946, are turning 80 in 2026, an age when the odds of needing care grow.
As we age, more of the care we are likely to need is not strictly medical, but is long-term care - help with activities of daily living for people who are frail or disabled — bathing, dressing, using the toilet, preparing meals, shopping, walking and taking medications.
How can you plan for this need now, before you need it? What should you know that you don't know now?
Our speakers, Steve Lorberbaum, of Assisting Hands Home Care - Potomac, and Kim Natovitz, an insurance agent at TriBridge Partners, will address these issues, and leave you more prepared to handle what comes your way.
