About this event

Dr. Robert T. Watson, chair of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change from 1997 to 2002, will discuss the current and projected state of climate, biodiversity, land degradation and pollution, and their inter-connections, the underlying drivers of change, their impact on human well-being, and potential response measures by the full range of actors, including the US government and individuals. Dr. Watson will also discuss the failure to meet biodiversity targets, the limited progress towards achieving the climate targets, the current political situation, and what we can expect from the upcoming meetings of governments.

SPONSOR: Silver Spring Village
REGISTRATION: Required, by Oct. 11
ACCESS: Zoom login https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85605761996?pwd=c05TY2VQTnZVcEZQRHErTWRqaWpoUT09
